Karla Kochan, MBA, currently serves as the Chief People Officer and Director of People Services at the City of Medicine Hat and is the Owner of kmk consultants. Previously, Karla held the position of Vice President of People and Culture at Moe's Home Collection and spent nearly eight years at Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) in various roles, including Chief People Officer. Earlier experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at Ronald McDonald House Charities and Director of Human Resources at Capri Hotel & Conference Centre/Sheraton Red Deer. Karla holds an MBA in Executive Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Global HR from Royal Roads University and has completed various professional development programs, including studies at Saïd Business School, Cornell University, and the University of Alberta.
