James Stefanuk, P.Eng. is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in electrical distribution and utility operations. Currently serving as the Superintendent of Distribution Operations for the City of Medicine Hat since March 2020, James provides leadership in staff development and ensures safe and efficient electricity distribution while adhering to industry regulations. Prior to this role, James spent nearly nine years at ATCO Electric, advancing from an Engineer in Training to Senior Engineer, where responsibilities included managing distribution engineering tools, supervising technical teams, and enhancing construction standards. Additional experience includes a Technician role at Ledcor Technical Services, where James focused on customer solutions and installation services. James holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Nanotechnology from the University of Alberta.
