Rhonda Rose has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rhonda started their career as an Accounting Clerk III at KCTCS in September 1998 and then transitioned to the role of Human Resources Specialist in April 2000. Rhonda continued to work in this position until June 2020 while also serving as an Adjunct Instructor for Communications since August 2015. In March 2020, they briefly held the role of Regent at KCTCS. Rhonda Rose's most recent position is as the Human Resources Director at the City of Maysville, starting in June 2020.

Rhonda Rose completed their Master of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies at Morehead State University in 2015. Rhonda had previously obtained their Bachelor's degree from the same university in 2012. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Go Lean Six Sigma A-3.
