Gia Valenzuela is an experienced accountant currently serving as Accountant II for the City of Maricopa since August 2020. Prior experience includes positions such as Accountant 4 at the Arizona Department of Administration and Senior Accountant at Pinal County Public Works/Emergency Management. Gia's extensive background in accounting encompasses various roles within the State of Arizona's Department of Transportation and Department of Economic Security, in addition to earlier experience as a bookkeeper at Phoenix Scaffolding and as a mail handler with the United States Postal Service. Education includes a Master of Public Administration in Government and Policy from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Science in Project Management/Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Office Technology from Eastern Arizona College.
