Travis Brooks has extensive experience in the criminal justice field, currently serving as Commissioners Aid for the City of Lauderhill since April 2023. Prior roles include Juvenile Probation Officer with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, where responsibilities involved preparing court reports and managing client supervision, and Probation Parole Officer at Professional Probation Service. Travis also held positions as Duty Officer Supervisor and Lead Dispatcher with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, as well as Transportation Security Officer with the Transportation Security Administration. The career began as a Lead Correctional Officer with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Travis holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
