Miika Alatalo is a professional with a strong background in environmental technology, holding both a Master's and Bachelor's degree from LUT University. Currently employed as a Project Worker at the City of Lappeenranta since September 2021, Miika previously served as a Civil Servant at Kaakkois-Suomen ELY-Keskus, where the focus was on updating and developing the ECOREG project for eco-efficiency. Other significant roles include a Master's Thesis Worker at Etelä-Karjalan Jätehuolto Oy, where Miika researched the utilization of biogas plant by-products, a part-time teaching position at LUT University assisting in basic physics and math courses, and a role as a Wastewater Treatment Advisor with Saimaan Vesiensuojeluyhdistys Ry, providing guidance on rural wastewater treatment methods and regulations.
