Katie Fischer, CPA, CA, currently serves as the Director of Financial Reporting & ERP Solutions for the City of Kitchener since July 2023. Previously, Katie held various leadership roles in the City of Cambridge Ontario, including Director of Finance & Deputy Treasurer, where responsibilities encompassed managing financial services operations, improving processes through technology, and providing financial analysis to support operational departments. Additional experience includes acting as Director of Finance, ensuring financial integrity and timely operations for the city's financial functions, and overseeing financial reporting as an Accounting Coordinator. Earlier in Katie's career, experience included a position as Senior Accountant at Deloitte, focusing on IFRS conversion and auditing complex accounting scenarios. Katie holds a Chartered Accountant designation from CPA Canada and a degree in Honours Economics & Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University.
