James Kubinski has served as Fire Chief for the City of Killeen, Texas, since February 2021. Prior to this role, James was the Bureau Chief of Emergency Medical Services for the City of Naperville from May 2016 to January 2021, where responsibilities included collaboration with the Fire Department Administrative team. James previously held positions as Fire Lieutenant and Firefighter/Paramedic, with significant contributions to fire prevention and emergency medical services. Additional experience includes serving as a BLS Instructor and CPR Program Administrator, as well as a Sales Manager and Entertainer at Music Mania Inc. James has an educational background that includes a Chief Fire Officer certification from the Illinois Fire Chiefs Educational & Research Foundation, a BA in Management from Benedictine University, and an Associate degree in Fire Science from Joliet Junior College, among others.
