Daniel Janson currently serves as a City Councilman for Seat 2 At-Large in the City of Jacksonville Beach since November 2020. Prior to this role, Daniel Janson dedicated nearly three decades to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, where Daniel held the position of Homicide/Cold Case/Missing Persons Supervisor from August 1992 to October 2020. In this capacity, Daniel Janson managed investigations related to cold cases, in-custody deaths, officer-involved incidents, and child abductions, while also engaging in media relations and collaborative efforts with organizations like NamUs and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
