Dan Spero is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as the Procurement Services Manager for the City of Hillsboro since October 2022. In this role, Dan develops and administers the city's procurement program, including a focus on supplier diversity, and provides consulting on procurement strategies to various city departments. Prior to this position, Dan held multiple roles at Prosper Portland from June 2007 to October 2022, culminating in the role of Procurement and Business Operations Manager, where Dan managed a wide range of internal business services. Dan's earlier experience includes positions as Purchasing and Risk Officer and Program Specialist at Portland State University from September 2001 to June 2007, along with foundational roles in procurement and purchasing. Dan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Stockton University.
