Laura McAloon serves as the City Attorney for the City of Grand Island since September 2022 and has been the Managing Member of McAloon Law PLLC, a municipal law firm dedicated to public service in the Inland Northwest, since February 2018. Previously, Laura held the position of Member at Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee, PLLC from November 2015 to January 2018 and Partner at K&L Gates from October 2005 to October 2015, specializing in Public Finance and Municipal Law. Laura began their legal career as an Associate Attorney in the Commercial Litigation group and Municipal Law at Paine Hamblen LLP from September 2000 to October 2005. Educationally, Laura McAloon obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Gonzaga University School of Law, holds a Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Management from Harvard Law School's Program on Negotiation, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Paralegal Studies from the College of Saint Mary.
