Steven Rhea is an experienced municipal professional currently serving as Deputy City Manager and previously as Assistant City Manager for the City of Friendswood since July 2018. Prior to this role, Steven worked as Development Director for the City of Baytown, Texas, from January 2017 to July 2018. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager at the City of Corpus Christi, as well as Commercial Plans Examiner at the City of Victoria, Texas. Steven's career began at the City of Corpus Christi as Plans Examiner II, and earlier, worked as Planning & Development Liaison at Naismith Engineering, Inc. Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, completed in 2004.
