Martin Wong has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Martin started their career as a Cartographic Technician at Metrex Systems Corporation in 1986, followed by a similar role at Etak Incorporated in 1987. In 1988, they worked as a Staff Geographer at Earth Tech before joining Maxima Corporation as a Programmer/Analyst in 1989. From 1990 to 2008, they served as an Advanced Technical Development Specialist at Rand McNally, where they designed systems and programs to enhance mapping systems and reduce production costs.
In 2009, Martin joined the University of Redlands as a GIS Technician II, where they provided assistance to several departments in acquiring and processing spatial data. Martin was later promoted to GIS Analyst at the Redlands Institute, where they designed user interfaces, automation tools, and geoprocessing solutions using ArcGIS and other programming languages. Throughout their time at the university, they utilized ArcGIS and Microsoft SQL Server to edit, update, and produce maps, reports, and feature classes.
Since 2014, Martin has been working at the City of Fontana. Initially hired as a GIS Technician, they were later promoted to GIS Analyst. Martin'sroles include managing and analyzing geospatial data and utilizing ArcGIS to produce maps and reports.
Martin Wong received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from UC Santa Barbara. The start and end years of this academic experience were not provided.
