Brooke Freed serves as the Chief of Staff for the City of Eugene since January 2020, overseeing a diverse portfolio within the City Manager's Office, which includes key areas such as intergovernmental relations and strategic planning. Prior to this role, Brooke held the position of Division Director within the same office, managing similar responsibilities. Brooke's extensive experience in higher education includes roles at the University of Oregon from 2013 to 2020, culminating as the Assistant Dean of Operations and Administration. Earlier experience includes serving as an Executive Assistant at Seattle Children's Hospital from 2004 to 2013. Brooke Freed earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion from Whitworth University and a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington.
