Sarah Classen, BDes, MBA, is an experienced professional currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Code for Canada since April 2023 and as the Director of Service Design for the City of Edmonton since May 2017. In this role, Sarah leads teams in Customer Experience, Service Review, Improvement, and Service Delivery, ensuring services are efficient and community-focused. Previous positions include Director of Department Strategy, Director of Creative and Digital for the City of Edmonton, Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta, and Creative Consultant for Rocky Mountain Soap Company, among others. With a strong background in design and marketing, Sarah has established and led high-performing teams, created successful brands, and contributed to various projects for well-known organizations such as Mattel and the Burke Group. Sarah holds an Executive MBA from the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, and a Bachelor of Design in Business and Marketing Pathway from the University of Alberta.
