John McCann currently serves as the Mayor of Chula Vista and has held various elected positions within the city, including City Councilmember. McCann has extensive military experience as a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve. Prior to current roles in local government, McCann was a School Board Member and President for the Sweetwater Union High School District. McCann's professional background includes technical management positions at Raytheon|Websense, Skydesk/@Backup, and Cardinal Health Care. McCann holds a Master's degree in Economics from San Diego State University.
