Justyna Czerniej is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in labour relations and human resources. Currently serving as the Director of Labour Relations at the City of Burnaby since March 2020, Justyna has also held the position of Acting Director of Human Resources and Assistant Director of Labour Relations. Prior to this, Justyna worked at ICBC, where roles included Labour & Employment Consultant and Acting Manager of Labour & Employment Law from July 2015 to March 2020. Earlier experience includes positions at Bungay Law Office as an Associate, and DLA Piper as an Articled Student and Summer Student. Justyna has also contributed to WorkSafeBC as a Review Officer and to The Law Foundation of British Columbia as a Program Assistant. Education includes a Juris Doctor from Schulich School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and several certificates in specialized fields from Harvard Law School Executive Education, Justice Institute of British Columbia, and Rublin Thomilson.
