Samantha Beckman currently serves as the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Brookings, where responsibilities include promoting community revitalization, implementing municipal services, and coordinating citizen response initiatives. Prior experience includes roles such as Planning & Development Services Intern at the City of College Station, where involvement in long-range planning took place, and Recreation Intern at the City of Sioux Falls, focusing on the supervision and development of Parks and Recreation programs. Additional experience includes a Risk Management Internship with the City of College Station, a Museum Aide role at the South Dakota Agricultural Heritage Museum, and a Loan Document Specialist position at Wells Fargo. Samantha Beckman holds a degree in Public Service & Administration from Texas A&M University and a degree in History & Political Science from South Dakota State University.
