Linda Abaray has extensive experience in community development and planning. Linda is currently the Director of Community Development at the City of Brookhaven, Georgia, a role they have held since August 2021. Before that, they served as the Deputy Director of Community Development at the same organization from April 2017 to August 2021.
Prior to their work at the City of Brookhaven, Abaray held various positions in different municipalities. Linda was the Director of Planning and Zoning & Capital Projects at the City of Riverdale from August 2016 to April 2017 and the Director of Park and Recreation and City Planning at the City of Fairburn from January 2015 to August 2016.
Linda also worked as a Senior Planner at The Collaborative from July 2011 to December 2014 and held two positions at CH2M HILL OMI: Planner II from April 2008 to July 2011 and Land Development Inspector from May 2006 to April 2008.
Abaray's earliest work experience in the field was as a Construction/ Erosion Inspector for Fulton County from May 2002 to May 2006.
Linda Abaray pursued their Master's degree in Regional Planning and Geography from Caifornia University of PA from 1998 to 1999.
