Shawn Kohtz is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Utilities Director and City Engineer for the City of Bozeman since March 2023. Previously, Shawn held the position of Public Works Director for the City of Pullman from June 2021 to March 2023 and worked as City Engineer for the City of Bozeman from December 2018 to June 2021. Shawn's extensive background includes roles as Engineer III at the City of Bozeman from June 2015 to June 2021, Civil Engineer at Murray, Smith & Associates, Inc. from May 2010 to May 2015, and Senior Project Engineer at SPF Water Engineer from May 2006 to June 2010. Early career experience includes serving as Staff Engineer at Holladay Engineering Company from July 2002 to April 2006. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Idaho.
