Greg McCarthy, CISM, PMP, currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Boston since July 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing cyber security and identity management programs for over 20,000 employees, managing a $1.5 million budget, and leading a cybersecurity executive steering committee. Previous positions include Project Manager - IT Security, where McCarthy enhanced the security infrastructure and provided training for staff, and Principal Research Technician at the State of Rhode Island - Department of Corrections, focusing on data system development and analysis. McCarthy holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Boston University, a Master of Science in Information Assurance, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.
