Jennifer Lovvorn has a strong background in public art management and cultural affairs. Jennifer began their career as a Public Art Program Associate at the San Francisco Arts Commission in 2002 and worked their way up to become a Senior Public Art Project Manager, overseeing large-scale projects for the City and County of San Francisco. In 2007, they joined Fort Worth Public Art as a Public Art Project Manager. In 2009, they returned to the San Francisco Arts Commission as a Senior Program Manager, managing a team and implementing the city's public art program. Most recently, they served as the Chief Cultural Affairs Officer for the City of Berkeley, where they directed the Civic Arts Program and supported the arts community through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
Jennifer Lovvorn has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Jennifer pursued a double major in Film Studies and Art Practice during their time there. Jennifer also holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Sculpture from UC Irvine. However, the exact start and end years of their education at both institutions are not provided.
