Eric Lee, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in biology and community health. Currently serving as the Community Health Commissioner for District 7 in the City of Berkeley since March 2023, Eric is also a Senior Biological Scientist at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, focusing on evidence-based report writing. Previous roles include a fellowship at USAID, managing relationships with global grant recipients, and a postdoctoral position at the Engineering Biology Research Consortium, where Eric published a widely downloaded report on microbiome engineering. With a PhD in Infectious Diseases and Immunity from UC Berkeley, Eric has developed strong analytical skills and has contributed to significant research initiatives throughout a varied academic and professional career.
