Ben Hemson currently serves as the Economic Development Manager and Business Advocate for the City of Bend, a position held since January 2016. Prior experience includes roles as Communications and Project Manager at the Northwest Gas Association from May 2011 to December 2015, and Program Manager at the Western Energy Institute from March 2010 to May 2011. Additionally, Ben Hemson worked as a Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs at the University of Florida from August 2007 to July 2009 and as Sport Clubs Supervisor at Oregon State University from August 2005 to July 2007. Early career experience includes serving as a Sports Page Clerk at the Corvallis Gazette Times from October 2004 to August 2005. Ben Hemson holds a Master of Arts in Political Science-Public Affairs from the University of Florida (2007-2009) and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Oregon State University (2003-2007).
