Gillian Hagstrom is a Public Information Officer for the City of Bellevue, Washington, since May 2022, specializing in outreach and communications strategies for transportation projects. Previously, Gillian served as an Assistant Planner for the City of Kirkland, where responsibilities included leading teams in process documentation and interpreting land use policy. Gillian's experience in the City of Bellevue also includes an internship in the Transportation Department, focusing on public engagement and communications efforts. Additional roles include Permit Coordinator for the City of Mercer Island and Permit Technician in the City of Calgary, where skills in customer service and land use regulations were developed. Gillian holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Urban Studies from the University of Calgary.
