Sergio Morales is a Ward 9 Councillor for the City of Barrie, having been elected in 2014 at the age of 21, establishing a record as the youngest city councillor in Barrie's history. Morales served as Chair of the Board for Downtown Barrie BIA from 2019 to 2022 and has worked as a Leasing Specialist at Redstone Residential, where responsibilities included oversight of leasing renewals and market analysis. Additional experience includes roles as a Real Estate Associate at Avison Young and a Business Retention & Expansion Project Coordinator for the Town of The Blue Mountains, focusing on economic development and community engagement. Early career roles involved serving as a Political Advisor for MP Patrick Brown and a Constituency Intern for MPP Rod Jackson, alongside experience as an umpire for Baseball Ontario. Morales holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Real Estate & Housing from the University of Guelph and a certificate in Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training from Georgian College.
