Michael Gallagher has extensive experience in municipal enforcement and public safety, currently serving as a Fire Inspector and Zoning Officer in the Development Services Branch of the City of Barrie since October 2015. In this capacity, Michael enforces the City of Barrie Zoning By-law and Second Suite Registration By-law. Additionally, Michael worked as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer in the Enforcement Services Branch, overseeing compliance with various city by-laws including those related to parking and noise. Prior roles include a Home Solutions Specialist at Best Buy, Security Guard at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, Head of Security and Front of House Manager at The Den - Georgian College, and Supervisor of Loss Prevention at Canada's Wonderland. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Services with a focus on Police Studies from Georgian College, earned between 2010 and 2014.
