Alan Halter is an experienced geospatial analyst with a strong background in urban forestry and GIS applications. Currently serving as a Senior Geospatial Analyst for the City of Austin since February 2018, Halter provides mapping IT support and GIS services for tree-related public projects. Previous roles include a Data Analyst at CBRE, where responsibilities involved data cleaning and visualization for commercial real estate, and multiple positions within the City of Austin, including Forester, where Halter implemented the urban forest plan and developed tree maintenance strategies. Halter's educational accomplishments include a Master of Science in Community & Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin, a GIS Certificate from Tarrant County College, and a BA in Geography from Texas Christian University.
