Genesis Ortega has extensive experience in communications and community engagement, currently serving as the Communications Manager for the City of Allentown since January 2022. Previous roles include Community Correspondent/Host and Membership/Community Engagement Ambassador at Lehigh Valley Public Media™ from May 2018 to January 2022, and Constituent Services Representative for the U.S. House of Representatives between March 2016 and May 2018. Additionally, Genesis held various positions at UnitedHealth Group, including Service Account Manager and Inside Sales Representative, and served as a French Tutor at Moravian College. Early career experience includes a Sales Associate role at The Bon Ton Stores Inc. and a Marketing Internship at the YMCA of Bethlehem. Genesis earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Management and French from Moravian University and has pursued further education at Université de Poitiers and Universitat d'Alacant.
