Justin Fried possesses extensive experience in urban planning and transportation management. Currently serving as the Transportation and Sustainability Manager for the City of Albany, California since March 2018, Justin has also held roles as a Senior Planner and Transportation Planner within the same organization. Prior experience includes positions at Jefferson East, Inc. as Deputy Director for Policy & Programs and Corridor Revitalization Director, as well as serving as a Detroit Revitalization Fellow at Wayne State University. Earlier roles consisted of working as a Regional Planner for the Association of Bay Area Governments and a Planner for the City of San Jose. Justin holds a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and International Relations from Brown University.
