David Nemovitz is the Deputy City Engineer and Head of Transportation for the City and County of Denver’s Department of Transportation & Infrastructure (DOTI), a position held since November 2021, where responsibilities include directing planning and engineering divisions, establishing strategic plans, and optimizing resource allocations. Previously, David served as Division Manager at Atkins from May 2017 to November 2021, focusing on business strategy and operational performance for non-DOT clients. Prior experience includes managing the Bridge Department at Michael Baker International from January 2010 to May 2017, overseeing staff, project delivery, and quality management, as well as roles as an Engineer at PBS&J and a Bridge Engineer at DMJM Harris, specializing in bridge design and transportation structures. David holds a degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering, from the University of Iowa.
