Ciara Torres-Spelliscy serves as a Board Member for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, as well as a Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice. In academia, Torres-Spelliscy has held the position of Professor of Law at Stetson University College of Law since 2011 and briefly served as a Visiting Professor of Law at American University Washington College of Law in early 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice from 2005 to 2011 and as an Associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP from 2001 to 2005. Torres-Spelliscy obtained a Doctor of Law degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Afro-American Studies from Harvard University.
