Dion Poirier is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in governance, human resources control, and compliance within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Governance Officer for US Broker Dealer Legal Entities at Citi since October 2013, Dion has a track record of developing governance constructs and compliance frameworks across multiple business groups. Previously, as Managing Director and Global Head of HR Control and Compliance, Dion implemented programs to manage operational and compliance risk in HR on a global scale. Earlier roles at Citi included leadership positions in HR risk control and compliance, where strategic frameworks were established to mitigate emerging human capital risks. Prior to Citi, Dion held HR leadership roles at Teck Resources Limited and Crestbrook Forest Industries Ltd. Dion holds a Bachelor of Management degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from The University of Lethbridge.
