Banu Ekiz is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in database systems and IT operations, currently serving as Infrastructure Lead and Vice President of Database Systems at Citi since June 2022. Previously, Banu held multiple senior roles at Akbank from June 2007 to May 2022, including Vice President of IT Operations, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive management of IT and facilities at data centers, and overseeing multifaceted operational groups. Prior to this, Banu served as Vice President of Business Intelligence Systems Management and Business Intelligence Applications, focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence tools. Earlier career experiences include management and administrative roles in database systems at YKB and programming at Garanti Teknoloji, along with database administration and research at Bilpa A.Ş. and Boğaziçi University. Banu holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University and completed secondary education at Beyoglu Anadolu Lisesi.
