Amir Mahmud, Ph.D., currently serves as a professional in Energy, Emissions, Climate Change & Sustainability at CITIC Pacific Mining since May 2023. Prior to this role, Amir spent nearly seven years at Conrad Asia Energy, where responsibilities included Development & Joint Venture Partner Manager and Asset Manager, notably leading the appraisal and development of a major gas field in West Natuna. Amir's extensive experience in geoscience includes positions such as Geoscience Specialist and Geoscientist, focusing on exploration projects and reserve certifications. Amir's career began as an Exploration Geoscientist at Kengaku Energy and includes academic experience as a Teaching and Research Academic at Monash University. Amir holds an Executive MBA in Energy Transition from the University of Groningen, a CORe certificate in Business Administration from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from Monash University.
