Bob Van Zant is a Principal Software Engineer and Head of Core Infrastructure at Citadel since September 2020, leading the Compute, Storage, and Networking functions. Previously, Bob served as Head of Compute for Citadel and Citadel Securities, focusing on the development of automated infrastructure systems. Bob's experience at Citadel Securities as a Software Engineer involved creating a quantitative research platform on Google Cloud. Additional roles include Engineer at Bracket Computing, where Bob contributed to microservices architecture, and Principal Software Engineer at Eventbrite, developing high-volume event management solutions. Bob has also held positions at Cisco Systems, Lohika Systems, Groundspring.org, and Microtech Systems. Bob earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in March 2004.
