Ben Torn has gained a diverse range of work experience since 2015. Ben started their career as a Business Development Associate at Time Auction, where they focused on growing the user base by 20% through client outreach. Ben then moved on to work as a Product Analyst at TELUS in 2016. In 2017, they joined Mercer as a Consulting Analyst and later advanced to the role of Senior Consulting Analyst. At Mercer, Ben worked on various projects in industries such as Financial Services, Oil & Gas, Technology, and Public Sector, mainly focusing on compensation, talent strategy, and mergers & acquisitions. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Consulting Associate at Mercer before leaving in 2020. In 2021, Ben gained further experience as a Software Engineer Intern at SAP. The next year, they returned to Citadel Securities as a Software Engineer Intern and continues to work there, now as a Software Engineer.
Ben Torn completed their education at two institutions. From 2011 to 2017, they attended the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, where they obtained an Honours of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance & Entrepreneurship. Later on, from 2020 to 2023, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree at The University of British Columbia.
