Andrew C Young is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering with extensive experience spanning multiple roles in renewable energy and industrial applications. Currently serving as Group Research Manager at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since November 2018, Andrew has previously co-founded BreweryCO2.com, focusing on small-scale CO2 carbon capture technology that achieved a successful acquisition. At Pioneer Energy, Andrew held various leadership roles including Chief Systems Architect and Director of Operations, where significant contributions were made to industrial controls and renewable fuels processes. Prior experience includes consultancy at Joven Ventures, research assistance at PolyNEW, Inc., and a co-op at DuPont. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Life Science Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University.
