Laura Perez-Ullivarri started their work experience as a Nanny in 2014 and continued in this role until 2018. In 2019, they gained experience in marketing and event planning through internships at Cocktail Fundraisers, Chicago Twenty Something, and Chicago Party Booker. During that time, they independently booked, planned, and executed over 100 events at various venues, clubs, and yachts. Laura also conducted analysis of event décor and social media practices, implemented recommended changes, and successfully sold 300 event tickets. In 2017, Laura worked as a Seasonal Sales Associate at Lilly Pulitzer, where they provided excellent customer service, assisted with purchases, and prepared for promotions. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Waitress at Martini's Bar. Most recently, Laura joined Cision in 2022 as an Account Manager.
Laura Perez-Ullivarri completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, from 2016 to 2020. In 2019, they also studied Communication and Media Studies at IES Abroad for a short period of time. Prior to their university education, Laura attended Fenwick High School from 2012 to 2016.
Besides their formal education, Laura has obtained several certifications related to customer service and communication. Laura obtained the certification in "Pitch Perfect – Mastering Customer-Focused Selling" from Cision in May 2022. In April 2021, they obtained certifications in "Building Customer Loyalty" and "Communicating with Empathy" from LinkedIn. In September 2020, Laura obtained several customer service-related certifications from LinkedIn, including "Creating a Positive Customer Experience," "Customer Service Foundations," "Customer Service: Managing Customer Expectations," "Empathy for Customer Service Professionals," "Working with Upset Customers," and "Writing Customer Service Emails."
