Robert Barton serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Cisco Canada, a position held since June 2000, where responsibilities include guiding customers through industry trends and implementing innovative solutions with Cisco's sales and engineering teams. In addition, Robert holds the title of Distinguished Architect, focusing on articulating new challenges for customers and fostering innovation. Formerly serving as Principal Architect and Systems Engineer, Robert led innovation initiatives and provided technical expertise to address complex business problems. Since October 2020, Robert has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN), which aims to advance the Information and Communications Technology sector in Ontario, Canada. Robert Barton earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from The University of British Columbia between 1992 and 1997.
