Nikhil Thakur is a Software Engineer at Cisco, involved in Media Engineering with a focus on Webex Backend and Cloud Video MS Teams Interop (CVI) solutions since December 2021. Prior to this role, Nikhil served as a Post Graduate Researcher at the University of Cambridge, where a Parallel Multigrid Algorithm was developed for solving partial differential equations. Nikhil's experience also includes working as a Scientist/Engineer at ISRO, contributing to the development of electro-optic payloads and sensors for space applications, and a research internship at the Technical University Munich, where implementation of a Convolutional Neural Network in TensorFlow was undertaken. Nikhil holds an MPhil in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
