Jillian Burner, MS, CISM, is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Cybersecurity Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since January 2024. Prior to this role, Jillian was the Chief Information Security Officer for the Ohio Secretary of State from August 2022 to January 2024 and held various positions at The Ohio State University, Ohio Department of Administrative Services, and the State of Ohio, focusing on cybersecurity operations and engineering. With a background that includes leading engineering teams and managing enterprise security operations, Jillian has cultivated expertise in implementing and maintaining security toolsets for state agencies and has played a key role in developing incident response capabilities. Jillian holds a Master of Science in Digital Forensics and Cyber Investigations from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Forensics from Franklin University.
