Aeva Black is a seasoned professional in the fields of cybersecurity and open source, currently serving as the Section Chief for Open Source Security at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency since July 2023. Previous roles include Board Member at the Open Source Initiative, Technical Advisory Committee Member at OpenSSF, and Open Source Hacker at Microsoft, where Aeva focused on computational trust, software supply chain security, and data privacy.
