Tom Zhang serves as a Senior Examiner at the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) since August 2022, focusing on financial and operations compliance. Prior to this role, Tom held the position of Senior Financial Analyst at Magna International, specializing in consolidations controllership and external reporting from October 2020 to August 2022. Tom's professional journey includes significant experience at EY, where positions included Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant in public company audit from September 2017 to October 2020, as well as an Assurance Intern earlier in 2017. Additional experience encompasses roles as a Financial Analyst at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, a Product Support Analyst at CaseWare International Inc., a Finance Intern at Aviva Canada, and a Compliance Officer at the Canada Revenue Agency. Tom Zhang holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from The University of British Columbia.
