Yam Ki Chan currently serves as Vice President of Strategy and Policy at Circle since April 2023. Prior to this role, Yam held various positions at Google from March 2017 to March 2023, including Strategy and Operations Lead for Payments and Next Billion Users Partnerships, Head of Financial Services Policy for Asia-Pacific, and Head of Public Policy & Government Relations for Hong Kong and South Asia Frontier. Yam's experience includes serving as Director for Global and Asia Economics at the National Security Council under the White House, where responsibilities involved shaping U.S. economic policy regarding Asian economies. Earlier roles include serving as an International Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, focusing on economic dialogues with China, and positions in investment banking and education. Yam holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from Columbia’s SIPA and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Carleton College.
