Maria Tenberge has had a varied and impressive career. In 2019, they worked as an Operations and Experience Team Member at Circl.es, enabling peer learning at scale. Maria also worked as a Language Teacher at Aula d'Idiomes, realizing their own "Project Barcelona". In 2016, they were a Team Leader at Bildungsfestival, empowering disadvantaged students. Maria was also a Fellow in Teach First Deutschland Leadership Program, helping students to recover their motivation for learning. Additionally, they were an Alumni Teacher at Maastricht University in 2013 and a Student Assistant Arab World Office in 2011, providing support for prospective students and external partners. Finally, in 2012, they were a Research Intern at NiHA Netherlands Institute for Higher Education in Ankara.
Maria Tenberge has a diverse educational background. Maria obtained an Abitur from Annette-von-Droste-Hülshoff Gymnasium in 2009, and was awarded an Honorary High School Diploma from Lake Zurich High School in 2007. Maria then completed a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Maastricht University in 2013. During this time, they also studied International Relations and Affairs at Bilkent University. In 2014, they joined the European Erasmus Mundus Master on International Migration and Social Cohesion at the University of Amsterdam, where they studied Sociology, Law, Social Geography, Cultural Studies and Social Sciences. In 2020, they obtained a Circles Certified Guide™ certification from Circl.es.
