Sergio Vera is an accomplished professional in the fields of construction engineering and sustainable building practices, currently serving as the Director of the Interdisciplinary Center of Sustainable Construction and Productivity at CIPYCS since December 2020. As the Founder and Partner of HEATConcrete, established in 2015, Sergio Vera focuses on innovative concrete solutions. In the academic arena, Sergio Vera has been associated with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since March 2001, holding roles such as Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Head of the Department of Construction Engineering and Management. Additionally, Sergio Vera served as the Technical Director of the Sustainable Building Engineering unit at Dictuc from July 2018 to January 2023. Sergio Vera's educational background includes a PhD in Building Engineering from Concordia University, an MSc in Civil Engineering, and a degree in Civil Engineering, both from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
