Gurbani Marwah serves as the Director of Theatrical Releasing at Cineplex since 2017, where responsibilities include film buying, developing release strategies, and managing relationships with film studio marketing and distribution teams. Previous roles at Cineplex included Senior Manager of Distributor Relations and Senior Manager of Film Studio Marketing, focusing on national film promotion and event planning. Gurbani is also a Board Member for the National Association of Theatre Owners, contributing to initiatives that address millennial expectations in the industry. Earlier experience includes volunteer work with Salaam Baalak Trust and teaching ballet at Pia Bouman School. Gurbani holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Film Theory and Cultural Studies from McGill University.
