Alex Muñoz is a board member at Cincinnati Ballet. Prior to that, they were with Messer Construction Co. from April 2012 to January 2020, where they served as Vice President of Safety and Risk Management. In this role, they were responsible for all decisions on risk management issues that directly impacted the strategic direction of the company. Alex set the strategic risk management vision and was charged with delivering that strategy to the company using exceptional leadership skills, network of internal and external alliances and highly developed business skills.
Before their time at Messer Construction Co., Muñoz was with Zurich Insurance from May 2010 to May 2012 as the Construction Practice Leader and from April 2006 to May 2010 as a Managing Account Executive. Alex began their career in risk management at Zurich Financial Services in January 2004 as a Risk Engineering Manager.
Muñoz has extensive experience in risk management and insurance, and has used this knowledge to help organizations optimize risks as a competitive business advantage. Alex is currently using their skills and experience to help Cincinnati Ballet navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alex Muñoz has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Technology from Bowling Green State University. Alex also has a Master of Business Administration in General from Franklin University. Lastly, they have a degree in Architecture from The Ohio State University.
