Jim Westdorp has extensive experience in the technology sector, primarily with Ciena since August 1998, where Jim currently holds the position of Principal Technologist at Ciena Government Solutions Inc. and serves as Sr. Advisor for Product Line Management in Government Solutions. Westdorp's responsibilities include managing the portfolio for government-focused products, overseeing strategic planning, and providing technical support for the sales team. Their previous roles at Ciena include Director of Industry Marketing for the Government Sector and Sr. Director of Product Line Management, focusing on DWDM transport products. Prior to Ciena, Westdorp worked at AlliedSignal Communications Systems as a Product Line Manager overseeing the IFF Interrogator family of products. Westdorp holds two master's degrees from The Johns Hopkins University in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University.
